Will I have to buy vegetables I don't want?

Shopping at Heirloom Living Market gives you the selection of a traditional Farmers’ Market from the comfort of your home! You can browse the available products and order what you want, in the quantities that you want, from the farms that you want. You will receive a weekly email telling you about new products, featured products of the week, Group Buy opportunities that are available or are coming available. The email will also include a link to the Heirloom Living Market so you can shop immediately!

Some people prefer to purchase a variety of veggies and those choices will be available. In addition, Doug’s Garden in Lilburn is making Produce Boxes (6 – 8 lbs) available and the selection will change with the seasons and with what is available to harvest on any given Thursday, which is our Harvest Day! You will have the ability to view the Veggies included in the Produce Box for that week on the Market Page of this website.

How do I order?

Each Saturday morning, a list of available products is sent to all of our registered customers by e-mail. Customers must place their order for the week no later than Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. (Noon). Orders can be placed here on our website.

Placing your order through this web site is our preferred method of ordering as this ensures prompt processing of your order as well as providing you with detailed information about each product and a receipt for your order.

When do I pay?

We accept cash, checks, credit or debit cards when you pick up your order. We are charged 3% for any credit or debit card transactions and if you choose to use these methods of payment we must add 3% to your total. Because we may have to adjust your total then (to account for extra items you decide to purchase from the Farmers’ Sale Table at Market Pickup or items that were unexpectedly unavailable), we do not accept advance payment on the website.

Why Support Locally Grown?

Enhance your local economy: By purchasing produce and other items from local growers you are providing stability to your local economy through the support of local businesses.

Save natural resources: Buying locally makes you an invaluable link in the process of saving resources such as fossil fuels and packaging materials. Also, we are right here in your community so the expense of transportation and delivery is kept to a minimum.

Provide learning opportunities: Locally Grown supporters provide member growers the means to help educate our community about the importance of sustainable agriculture.

Supporting a way of life: The number of small farms in the United States has decreased dramatically in the last decade. Please help us preserve an honest and worthy means of making a living.

We believe that small, diverse, family-owned farms contribute to society’s overall health.

How can I sell through this market?

You should have a good understanding of how we work before you apply for Farmer/Grower/Artisan status. We would like you to first become a customer and place a couple orders so you can see firsthand how we operate. Things go so much more smoothly if you’d join us as a customer first. Unless you have received an invitation from us to join as a Farmer/Grower/Artisan, your request to sell will be denied if you have never sold through a Locally Grown Market or never shopped at our Market.

Please see the “Grower Page” for additional information.

If you’ve already created a customer account here, simply go to Our Growers and click on ‘If you would like to sell through this market, please tell us about yourself and a market manager will contact you.’. This will add you to our system and our market managers will contact you with the next step.
We do charge 10% of your overall sales, but no up-front fee for participating in the Market.
Like at a traditional farmers’ market, you set your own prices and list your items as you wish. (Please note that we have “naming convention” that must be followed; however, descriptions are yours to create!
Contact heirloomlivingmarket@gmail.com if you would like more information.

What if I cannot pickup my order?

It is important to call us if you are unable to pickup your order. You can reach the

Lilburn Market Coordinator, Kathy Barnes at 404-492-4341

We pay the Farmers/Growers/Artisans for you when they deliver your order. If orders are not picked up, the amount of the order comes from our pockets. For this reason, your account will be charged for the order even if you do not pick it up. All unclaimed items at the close of Market are donated to Market Volunteers or the Food Bank close to our pickup location. Legally, we are NOT permitted to store any items!

We are not inflexible – we understand that “Life Happens” and we will do everything we can to make arrangements with you so that picking up your items does not become added stress when you have an emergency! Remember, you need to let us know!

Failure to pick up your order twice, will necessitate keeping a credit card on file for future orders.

Does Heirloom Living Market have more than one location?

Yes! At the present time, we have 3 Markets each with a different pickup location. Each Market is an entity unto itself.
