Closing Bell at 9:00pm Sharp!

This post expired on July 01, 2023.

Greetings All:

Reminder

The Market will close for ordering at 9:00pm this evening!

A couple of quick updates:

Milk Orders

Milk can only be ordered in glass jars this week if you brought or bought jars last week and they were sent to the Farmer. If you ordered in glass jars this week and you do not have jars at the Farm, you will receive it in plastic and be charged accordingly.

We have glass jars on the Market if you wish to order them or you can purchase Ball 1/2 gallon Mason Jars at WalMart, Ace Hardware or Ingles. Read about how the Jar system works here!.

If you are purchasing jars though the Market this week, they will be washed, sanitized, labeled, a plastic lid added and given to Sam to to be filled next Thursday at Market pickup.

If you are buying your jars elsewhere, they must be washed, air dried and delivered to the Market at 1:00 – 1:15pm on Wednesday. The Gymnastics Center does not open until 1:00pm and that is when Mary and I arrive to start the setup for Market. Our Milkman, will arrive before 1:30 and your jars must be there for him to take to the Farm if you want to order your milk in glass jars next week.

If you have questions, please call 404-432-4337 or talk to Mary or me at Market.

Fruit

My Daily Bread and Fry Farm both have Blackberries this week!

My Daily Bread is also offering Raspberries.

Bo and Lisa’s Lil Patch is offering Blueberries and Lisa will be our Farmer of the Week at Market pickup this week. She will be bringing some Blueberries to taste and may have to offer for sale.

Watsonia Farms is offering FreeStone or White Peaches this week.

Veggies

There are currently 27 vegetables offered on the Market this week from Doug’s Garden, Fry Farm and Phoenix Gardens! Don’t miss out! The Harvest is beautiful this year and our Farmers are working hard to bring us all the goodness their hard work has reaped! Rain has delayed some of the Tomato crop – there are some available but supplies are limited this week! Be patient, they are coming!

Coffee

David, of The Roastin’ Fool fame will return with his coffee for Market next week.

Dances With Bees Patti and Jay are back from their vacation and their great products are back on the Market offerings this week.

Duck Eggs

Scotland Yard has not been advised; however, Bo and Lisa are doing their best to solve the mystery of the disappearing (or non-existent) Duck Eggs!

Remember – ORDERING will close TONIGHT at 9:00pm sharp!
