Tidbits
Greg Hutchins of Heritage Farm has listed Chicken for Pre-Order this week! Whole Chicken, Boneless Skinless Breasts, Bone-in Breasts, Cut-up Whole Chickens, Chicken Livers are all available. Items will be available for pickup at the Market on September 17th. (Please note, my original post with a delivery date of September 10th was in error) Get your orders in soon so you don’t miss out on this opportunity.
I can hardly believe that today is the last day of August! Where did the Summer go? The Holidays will be upon us before we know it and this is a reminder to get your orders in for your Holiday Meats! Greg still has some reservations available for Turkeys and Hams. Reserve your pasture raised Holiday Meat now!
My Daily Bread is back this week! Bruce’s surgery was quite successful and he is once again his ‘Energizer Bunny’ self! Dabrielle is no ‘slacker’ but comments frequently that Bruce runs circles around her! Amazing couple – producing/creating excellent quality Bakery items and other ‘Foodstuffs’ for our families!
Shalley and David Carrell of Carrell Farms are back from a well-deserved vacation! Have you tried Water Buffalo or Alpaca? For an introduction to Alpaca, I suggest the Sweet Italian Alpaca Sausage or the Cranberry Sage Alpaca Sausage! If you are a maker of Bone Broth, be sure and try the Water Buffalo Soup Bones! They make a rich hearty Broth!
Kathy Barnes of So-Koi is offering Certified Organic Bourbon Vanilla Extract for Pre-order! GMO/Gluten/Sugar Free this extract comes from the isle of Reunion, formerly known as the Isle of Bourbon, off the coast of Madagascar. Sounds like a perfect addition to any pantry!
Jay Parsons of Dances with Bees is offering a Beekeeping 101 Class! Jay is extremely knowledgeable about Bees and all things related to Bees. This class is an excellent opportunity to explore what Beekeeping is all about and decide if it is something you have an interest in pursuing additional classes.
Jay is offering a Special this week on a combo pack of Raspberry Creamed Honey and Unflavored Creamed Honey! Perfect topping for Toast or Waffles!
Got Milk?
Remember to order Raw Cow Milk from Cedar Rock Dairy and Raw Goat Milk from Little Tots Estate! Fresh, raw milk … for your Pets! All Raw Milk products are labeled “For Pet Consumption Only”, in accordance with the Georgia Department of Agriculture regulations. This is the only way that Raw Milk can legally be sold in the state of Georgia!
