Carrots, Beets, White and Red Turnips Potatoes, Green Onion, Radishes, Chard, Rosemary Sage, Garlic, and Oregano It will have between 5 – 6 Lbs of vegetables and herbs! I ordered this last week and it was fabulous! Don’t miss out!

Fry Farm Vicky has listed her Harvest Box on the Market this week. There are no individual veggies listed. Vicky’s grandson has had a significant medical condition come to light and I ask for prayers for Liam and his family. Vicky and Steve anticipate they will return to the Market with all their offerings next week!
Greg Hutchins of Heritage Farm has added Zephyr Squash and ‘Easter Egg’ Radishes to their offerings this week. Ground Beef and other Beef items will be back on the Market next week. Greg is picking up at the processor the end of this week!

My Daily Bread
We were all so happy to have My Daily Bread on the Market this past week. Dabrielle is busy keeping the home fires burning, caring for Bruce in his recovery and baking! We hope to have them back on the Market next week. Please continue to pray for Bruce as he continues his recovery and for Dabrielle that she continues to be “Super Woman”!

Ancient Awakenings has various delicious and healthy fermented veggies and drinks! Order extra this week! They will not have offerings again for 3 weeks!
My Daily Bread does have offerings this week; however, they will be off next week! Be sure and get extra bread and goodies! Everything freezes well!
I spoke with Greg Hutchins of Heritage Farm and Ground Beef will be available next week….it is a timing thing with the processor! Turkey Bologna is on the way. It is made by an Amish Farmer friend up in Kentucky and the processing of the Turkeys just happened, so the Bologna will be just a bit longer!

Circumstances worked out to our advantage and My Daily Bread is on the Market this week. They definitely will not be here next week though, so be sure and grab extra goodies to have in the freezer! Bruce continues to improve, but obviously needs to ‘ease back into’ LIFE! After all, he did have Open Heart Surgery! Please continue to bless him and his family with your prayers!

Bruce is now home and starting his healing and recovery. Please note: Stock up this week on all your Bakery goods! We are hopeful that Bruce will continue his good recovery; however, Dabrielle’s time must be divided between caring for her husband and baking. We are fortunate to have items this week, but are unable to predict if there will be offerings next week! How I have missed the goodies! My Daily Bread has been with the Market since our opening and they are like extended family. They have consistently provided us with wonderful organic baked goods, blackberries and blueberries in season; have come to the Markets as “Farmer of the Day” and generally gone above and beyond for us. Ricky Brown of Back River Farm has listed Easter Egg Radishes this week! These are yummy in Salads, sliced and sauteed or eaten raw in salads. Look for Ricky’s offerings to expand as the season progresses!
Fry Farm listed Broccoli in addition to all their other wonderful Veggies this week! I was fortunate to get some Broccoli last week! Yes, there are a FEW perks to being Market Manager! After all, I have to check these things out for you all. The Broccoli was a HUGE head/bunch and it was oh so Yummy!

Strawberries are NOT available! Jack called me just a bit ago and the heat of the last week in South Carolina ended the Strawberry Harvest! Watsonia Farms does have Cling Peaches listed this week! Peaches are getting better and better! The Frees-Stone Peaches will be available about the last week of June. I will keep you informed about the type of Peaches being offered each week.
Carrell Farms offers Alpaca, Lamb and Water Buffalo. Try some Alpaca Sweet Italian Sausage on the Grill! Excellent! Memorial Day is this weekend! The Water Buffalo Sausages are all excellent choices for your holiday gathering – or just for family! My favorites are: Longaniza and the Garlic Bratwurst; however, the Rosemary/Garlic Sausage sounds delicious and that is what I am ordering this week! Check out all of their offerings!
Did you notice that Tracy of ga sourdough has added Cheese Sourdough Crackers to her offerings? These are tasty!
And just to add a little extra Wow to your meals or appetizers, try any of the Cheeses offered by Udderly Cool Dairy! My absolute-hands-down-favorite is their Applewood Smoked Gouda. Second to that is Jack and Dill! You will be blown away with the taste of any of their cheeses! Try some today!
Grow with the Flow has an excellent selections of Lettuces. Be sure and check out their offerings!
Kathy Barnes of So-Koi has Einkorn Berries and Ground Flour on special this week! Interestingly, although I am Gluten Intolerant, I am able to eat and digest Einkorn with NO problems! The Gluten in Einkorn is much different than in Wheat Flour! If you are tired of Gluten Free, experiment with Einkorn! Kathy also offers a book filled with wonderful recipes using Einkorn! Don’t miss out on this! Check out Kathy’s other offerings too!

Bruce had surgery and had three stints placed. Although he is in considerable pain, he is doing well. Prayer is powerful and I join in Dabrielle’s request for your prayers for Bruce as well as for Dabrielle and their son, Brandon. I will keep you informed about Bruce’s condition and recovery.

Stock up on Ancient Awakenings this week!
I am absolutely addicted to the Coconut Vanilla/Banana Kefir and the Grape Kefir; Sarah’s favorite is the Orange Peach Mango Water Kefirand the Coconut Vanilla/Banana Kefir and I hope you all have found your favorites as well! Originally when we started with these great folks, their products were being delivered by one of our other Farmers. It hasn’t worked out quite the way we thought it would. In an effort to keep Ancient Awakenings’ products, we had to come up with a ‘work around’! Right now, the best we can do is a once a month delivery which will be the first Market of each month. However, so that we can all stock up on their wonderful fermented products, Dana and Steve do have items listed on Market this week. PLEASE order what you will need until our next delivery on June 2nd! We hope to go back to a weekly delivery at some point, but in the mean time, I am grateful that we can still get their products!

My Daily Bread
Bruce has certainly had some major health challenges the last month and now he faces open heart surgery. The situation is best told by Dabrielle:
“For those who don’t know yet, Bruce is in the hospital awaiting open heart surgery.
He passed out at Suwanee market and fell to the concrete suffering a 4 inch gash to his heat, a concussion, and lots of bruising. When all the confusion was sorted out by the caridologist, he actually had stopped breathing and his defribulator went off 4 times to shock him back.
After a heart cath, they discovered a calcified block directly from his aorta to the large portion of his arterial feed that is 80% blocked and cannot be stinted. The only option is open heart surgery.
They are awaiting the Plavix to leave his system so they can operate. He will have a long road to recovery including a month bed rest and 3 of cardiac rehab.
They are hoping to do the surgery on Monday, but may be able to do it on Friday if things move faster with the Plavix.
Bruce LOVES doing the coops and I know he will miss you all, but he is grounded for awhile.
We will do our best to get back up and running after his surgery.
