Pork Ribs are still on Special this week! Since it might be a tad chilly to grill, try seasoning with salt, pepper, garlic and caraway seed, place in crockpot, add sauerkraut on top! Served with mashed potatoes and a salad this makes a delicious ‘winter’ dinner!
Pork Shanks are also on Special this week! These Shanks are surprisingly full of meat and wonderful to use in soups!
Pork Livers, Heart, Feet are also on Special this week. I am unsure of recipes or suggestions for Livers and Hearts but will investigate and let you know! I am sure Farmer Greg will have suggestions! Pigs Feet can be added to Bone Broths and helps to produce great flavor!
Thanks to Kathy Barnes, Cod and Salmon are back on the Market! In addition, Kathy has added two other interesting and delicious items! Salmon Jerky and Salmon Keta Candy. I cannot wait to try both of these offerings! There is a limited quantity! Delay ordering at your own risk!

Veggies: It is Winter and the weather has been rather crazy this past month, so Mother Nature has definitely impacted the availability of Veggies on the Market. I am working to find Farmers who have High Tunnels and Greenhouses to add to our selections! Thankfully, The Veggie Patch has a variety to keep us supplied!
Do you have a Recipe that you would love to share? Click on the Recipe Tab at the top of the page and follow the prompts! If you would rather, we input, please give a copy to your Market Coordinator at Market and we will share with your fellow Members! Of course credit will be given to the Chef submitting the Recipe! We all need inspiration sometimes! Please share! We can even tie the ingredients in the Recipes to items on the Market! I have had several calls about Bacon… and I would like to clarify a couple of things. It is important to read the descriptions that the Farmers take time to write and post for each product. The Bacon was listed as 3/4lb weight at the cost of $10.00. In the past, Bacon has generally been offered in 1lb packages and was priced at $12.00. Some of us were surprised to receive 3/4lb packages and a thicker cut Bacon than what Greg generally offers. The difference is in the processor that was used for the last group of piggies. I have been in contact with Greg and descriptions in future postings will specify the ‘cut’ (thick or thin) of the Bacon…as for the weight…READ, READ, READ!

Bethe Munn, Crossfit/Lawrenceville Market Coordinator, Sarah Rockey, Hamilton Mill Market Coordinator and Kathy (and Keb) Barnes Lilburn Market Coordinator(s) and their Volunteers work hard every week! They ensure that the Farmers’ deliveries get to the correct Markets and into the individual Member orders; they check, recheck, pack, load, unload, unpack. They deal with tracking down the missing items, correcting invoices and spending time with each Member as orders are picked up. Without their generosity, passion and overwhelming dedication and goodness, the Market could NOT exist. Please take a minute to let them know how much you appreciate all they do for you!
There will be no Market pickup on Thursday, December 31st! We will re-open for ordering on Friday, January 1st and close Monday, January 4th. Market delivery will be Thursday, January 7th!
Cow Milk Customers
Cow Milk from Cedar Rock Dairy will be delivered on Tuesday, January 5th at the Lilburn Market pickup location. If you want your milk order the week of New Year’s when the rest of the Market is closed, you will need to order it at Market Pickup on Tuesday, December 22nd. There will be a signup sheet!
Please note: Goat Milk will NOT be available the week of New Year’s!
You can order RAW COW MILK this week at Market pickup. It will be delivered on Tuesday, December 29th. Tentative pickup time is:
